You know that Bugatti, Porsche and Lamborghini are all part of VW group as well right?

I'm not in the market for an Audi or Mercedes but Audi is far more attractive across the line for me than Mercedes aside from some lower volume AMG models. For me its BMW>Audi>MBZ. I'd shop for a Lexus before looking at a Mercedes although I don't like either very much.

Actually the Volkswagen Passat at one time shared the same platform as the A-4 but now shares nothing with it's cousin in Volkswagen AG.

Reference: Audi A4 Volkswagen Passat

Also here is the Top Gear episode from 2010 showing my BMW against the the Mercedes S-63. The Mercedes lost.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsofZq2pxVA

Audi's S grouping apexing with the S8 is extremely impressive, very well built and very expensive. Trust me I test drove the S8 before deciding on my BMW.

Concerning performance; Actually my BMW 760 LI has more BHP than the Mercedes 600 and the BMW Alpina B-12 has more BHP than a Mercedes S63 AMG. The Alpina and the AMG are aftermarket tuned variants of the same cars I listed prior.

Speak with facts before you call someone fool because you just ended up looking like a really big one.

Actually, there's some real irony here, given that Audi apparently has buyers with the highest income of all US brands http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/10_20/b4178023174411.htm based on this relatively recent article. I didn't look through all of the pages of posts to see if someone already posted this.

I swore I'd never respond to a troll thread but this has gotten my ire up.

The average Mercedes is nowhere CLOSE to $100,000! Mercedes sells more C-Class, E-Class, and GLK SUV's than the rest of their lineup COMBINED. Just because Mercedes has vehicles that list for south of the $100K price point does NOT mean that they sell many of them. The S-Class is fairly popular but doesn't sell anywhere close to the numbers that C-Class and E-Class vehicles sell.

I'm not an Audi fan but they're hardly a "low income" brand. The average cost of a new Audi is in line with the average cost of a new Mercedes and BMW. The three compete on equal terms; it just depends to which brand your allegiance lies. And truth be told...Audi interiors BLOW AWAY Mercedes interiors by a long shot.

im saying if add all mercedes up cl s cls sl and the mercedes c class which is only 40k or e class 50k it should be average of around 100,000 you do the math audi only one over 100,000. mercedes has the best care inside by far its known to be the most luxury.

The average MB model may be $100K, but the average of MB cars sold is nowhere close to $100K.
