Its a fact that suicides for teens went up when lockdowns took place. I even saw a show on The Doctors about it. We know isolation is not healthy for people's mental health. it can even make some go crazy.

businesses have limits. It's a violation of hipaa laws for medical privacy. It's a violation of the American with disabilities act not everyone can be safely vaccinated. They cant tell customers to strip down to their underwear. civil rights must not be violated by businesses. businesses can do what they want until they violate others' rights. requiring shirt and shoes is not the same as forcing you to take a medicine.

This argument doesn't hold water if you review current legal guidance. Businesses can legally require proof of vaccination as they currently do. I'm not employed by local hospitals, but when I enter their ORs the hospitals can and will deny service (i.e., access) if I don't produce my vaccine record through their credentialing service of choice.

This is independent of my opinions on vaccine 'passports', particularly when the vaccines are still not fully approved.

HIPPA does not apply to a business asking for proof of vaccination. HIPPA applies to release of your medical information without your consent. They can ask and you have the right to not consent to the answer.

As for ADA, a company has to provide a reasonable accommodation. If it cannot, then it does not have to provide service.

Do we still live in a free country where people can make their own decisions.

I agree with you in principle. Problem is, that relies on the general public possessing a basic level of common sense and decency. If that were more the case, I imagine a lot of our laws and regulations would be unnecessary. That's my problem with the libertarian viewpoint, especially in a post-9/11 world. But it's not about "deeming", it's about the employees' and other bystanders right to be safe.

My zip code is still high teens per 100,000 daily infection rate. Even vaccinated, I want everyone to wear a mask indoors when I’m doing retail. Until we get to herd immunity, if they drop the indoor mask mandate, I think I’ll start wearing an N95 mask to protect myself. The cloth mask protects everyone else.
