I don't understand this either...You want people to be forced to do something?

People are forced to do all kinds of things, all the time. This could actually make sense, if it's say due to pressure from other students and faculty. Free market at work here, it's not like the government is forcing it upon anybody. If one is that opposed to doing their part, I'm sure there are other institutions who will accommodate them.

To squash the most expensive public health crisis in history? YES.

It matters not. I know several people who got it, who had no co-morbidity. Two were even hospitalized. It's highly contagious, and still with us.

I teared up when I made my appointments. Now just anxious about the second shot (some side effects, of course the expected sore arm, even for the first one, albeit only on the day of the shot; Moderna).
I also found out that a local pharmacy has their flu vaccination clinics (booked via the state web sites) in the same room as indoor dining... This is in RI - but I hope you don't mind my mentioning it here, as I've been advocating for drive through clinics. Am completely shocked.
Hope the EUA for adolescents goes through. Parents of high risk kids will be so relieved!

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

No, I'm a healthy slender 61 year old, but that does not absolutely protect me from a serious course of this disease. It is just that I would hate to catch the virus NOW, after 13 months of successful social distancing and whatnot, and when I am so close to being fully vaccinated!

I know. Just surprised that this thinking has persisted 13 months into the pandemic.

About 40% of Mass residents have gotten at least one dose, and about 24% are fully vaccinated. Hopefully, enthusiasm for *getting* the vaccine will remain high as we work our way through the population. I see that some states are already having attendance at vaccine clinics fall off, and that's likely just an early indicator of what we'll see in all states before long. We clearly need to do more communication and education.

It's totally moot. At Boston University, 58% of the entering class is in the SAT combined score range of 1430 to 1540. Other than Coloring Book School, now called College of General Studies, it's unlikely our low neuron anti-vaxxer could be admitted.
