Y'all seem to be on a railroad theme, so try to identify this location. The scene has changed a little, this was taken in 1988.

Technically wrong, because that RR did not exist until 1995; and totally wrong location.

Thanks WCHS, your answer led me to Wikipedia for a view of the RRs. I did not realize that BNSF & UP are only in the West & Midwest, while CSX and Norfolk Southern handle the east. Any cargo traveling coast-to-coast would have to handed off between them.

You might have also noted that the Canadian National Railway nowadays goes all the way south to New Orleans and somewhat west to Nebraska.
