Perhaps the skybridge should include an inconspicuous shuttle (similar to the one at Huntsville Hospital) for those who aren't up to the full walk to downtown.
Extend the HH Tram to the Medical Mall and part of the Sky Bridge.

Projects that have been announced the past few months include City Centre phase3/ Moxy hotel, Constellation apartments open, City Center Eclipse apartments open, the Vista at Councill Square groundbreaking, Front Row development revealed on Clinton, Autograph hotel construction underway, new City Hall and new Federal Courthouse both under construction, Sky Bridge grant received, construction possibly early next year. All of these within a one mile radius and does not include projects just west on Clinton , Governors and north along Meridian (Lincoln Mill).
These are all anchors for even more downtown announcements and projects to come.
Some possibilities, continued retail, development at Constellation, Phase two of Front Row(hotel/Office), Hyatt House hotel, at least 2 more hotels, additional restaurants especially in the area of the Federal Courthouse and Huntsville Hospital Campus. Should be exciting to see these projects completed.
Our Skyline begins this decade for sure. Finally!!

I remember a time when Huntsville scrambled to keep enough hotel rooms near the Von Braun Center to attract conventions. A non-profit was even formed to buy the Huntsville Hilton when the owners planned to close it. Now there are a lot more hotel rooms either already available or will be in the next few years. The question is does the Von Braun Center have enough facilities to match the potential conventions these hotel rooms can support?

I suppose they must have; otherwise, the hotel corporations wouldn't be building so many.

Wonder if Front Row will include a large, convention hotel or will there just be numerous smaller ones.

The hotels serve the entire region not just the VBC which has a shortage of available rooms within walking distance.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Alabama Tourism Department released a report last week saying that the Huntsville-Madison County area welcomed a record 3.7 million people in 2021. The total travelers was just one marker of success for the tourism industry last year.
The VBC has an additional expansion planned to compliment the recently completed Mars Music Hall

Will be 8 stories 215 rooms, the actual building height will be closer to 10. Gone up from when first announced.
The rooftop bar overlooking the park will be very popular. Supposedly ground level
restaurant will also open to the park.

So about 100 feet (hotels tend to be "shorter" than office buildings with the same number of levels). I guess the new Moxy hotel that was announced a few days ago will be the standard 4-floor affair - looks like it from the rendering that was shown.

There will also be a number of hotels in MidCity, and their web site mentions a mainline Marriott but I've not seen any detail on that one.

The Moxy may be around 7. Aloft is one of the MidCity hotels, a Marriott brand.

Correct. But go here: https://www.midcitydistrict.com/stay and it lists the Aloft separately, as well as the Indigo, but scroll down and it has "Marriott - coming soon". So presumably that's a mainline Marriott. It's been "coming soon" for quite some time, however.

As an aside, site work has been done for the dual-branded Mariott in Town Madison, but no actual construction has started yet. Also, no further word on the phantom Margaritaville that's supposedly still coming.

If we’ve learned anything the last few years “coming soon” means maybe in 5 years.
