Everyone expects to see "turkey" on the menu today but I'm going against the grain here.
I'm having grilled salmon with a lemon/butter/herbs to drizzle over it. Maybe asparagus or baby bok choy or even Brussels sprouts. Not sure yet. But whatever I'm having, I know it will be good.
Way, weigh too much I liked that we had a lot of veggies to choose from. Small turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, yams, mix of corn and green beans, and beets - something I have not had in a long time. Small glass of Moscato white wine and water.
Dessert: thin slice of pumpkin mousse pie in a graham cracker like crust. I was folloing a recipe off the internet. Definitely tasted like pumpkin but more like ice cream than a pie. Guess I'll give it a 4/5 stars.
Glad I still have my water within arms length. Getting mini bouts of thirst. Great! Now my eyes feel even heavier. Bet that turkey has something to do with that, lol.
Hope for those celebrating and currently reading in the CD Forum - Happy Thanksgiving!
The creativity must start using up the rest of a smoked turkey breast. Tonight will be diced turkey breast in cream of mushroom soup with celery and onion over a baked potato. Cranberry sauce on the side.
One night of leftovers then I am sending home 90% of leftovers with the family. I will not cook again until I feel like. Probably 2024.
