Tonight I had fajitas that were left over from my splurge on Mexican food from a favorite local restaurant a few days ago.
The fajitas were delicious (well, they're FAJITAS, of course they're delicious ) BUT the online price said $15.50 and I was charged $17.95 when I picked up the order (didn't notice until the next day -- I had ordered several different items and thought the overall total was high but figured I'd just miscalculated). I DO try to support local restaurants, but I'm not sure I would have ordered beef fajitas for 18 bucks as even $15.50 was a stretch.
To make me even more annoyed, the container was probably 65% veggies, 35% beef ... when it used to be more like 50-50.
Yeah, I know, I'm being a total grump, but even in these COVID days when we try to support local businesses, we still want to get value, right?
But, you know, on the other hand, they were delicious. So there's that.
I put an eye of round roast in the sous vide yesterday - it will cook for 24 hours. I'm making some gravy now just in case the roast isn't as wonderful as I'm expecting. I'm making some steamed broccoli and red potatoes in the skillet with onions.
Chicken fettuccine Alfredo with mixed vegetables added.
