Last night my oven heating element made puff and broke at a corner leaving a fire spark ( if I say this correctly) which scared the you know what out of me. I am waiting for the replacement today and then Mr.Almrausch my handyman will fix it.The plan was to continue my 2. week of holiday baking,but it has to wait until tomorrow if all goes well.
Tonight leftover vegetarian Chili with a slice of Bauernbrot/farmer bread.To drink lassi.For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.
Brauts cooked in Guiness then grilled, asparagus, various cheeses and crackers, maybe a salad.

Cleaning out the refrigerator pre Thanksgiving so having a hamburger on the last English muffin with a side salad and maybe some cooked carrots. Skipping dessert and wine tonight.
Stopped by Pappadeaux during an errand run. Had me some redfish Pontchartrain with a lemon butter sauce, dirty rice, and a side of red beans. Those were preceded by some hot, baked bread with soft butter.
And, of course, some iced tea to wash it all down.

Well Mr. Almrausch managed to blow the fuse in our stove somehow while replacing the oven heating element and our dinner never happened.Instead cold sandwiches and a cup of herbal tea by the fireplace.Lets see what tomorrow brings....
