I’m voting Democrat because Congress has done such a wonderful job under Democrat leadership the last two years, that I want a lot more of the same.

He refuses to identify any current programs to be cut - that's at least equal expense for the government vis a vis our run rate.

You didn't watch the debates. Both Obama and Biden mentioned specific programs that would likely need to be cut.
McCain on the other hand - freeze all spending! Which is fiction.
Before that it was "veto ALL pork".
What specifics has McCain given? I know he's fond of railing against some $3 million bear DNA research, but beyond that?

I believe he will work to end the war in Iraq honorably and will work toward reducing our expenditures there while getting Iraq to help pay for the costs of rebuilding while protecting us from terrorists.

I am not going to say anything negative about his opponent. I hope others will not argue these points. I have read enough of these threads to know exactly how everyone on both sides feels about everything. These are my beliefs, and they are based on reading, listening, and trying to be objective--which is not easy to do with all of the lies floating around from both sides. Anyway, these are my feelings.

I agree. Although McCain doesn't excite me, I would be essentially voting for Obama if I had voted for an independent who better represents my views as it would be one vote less for McCain. I really disagree with this whole two party system we have going on here. My ballot (I voted early) had 6 or 7 presidential candidates but I only know about two of them. The whole system is flawed and neither candidate fully represents my views of what our government should be like. We need to have three or four candidates who have equally good chances of winning since Americans are so diversified in how they feel our government should be run.

As far as the Obama is concerned, our current economic system cannot handle more socialism right now. Also, I fear that a democrat controlled government would weaken our defense and make us vulnerable for another terroist attack.
