This thread's a waste.
The argument can be made that your post is a cop out.
My opinion? Neither Obama nor McCain are worthy of the job.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I’m voting Democrat because Sen. Obama has promised to cut the taxes of 95% of the people, including the 30% who don’t pay taxes.

I’m voting Democrat because Sen. Obama has promised to take away the secret ballot in union elections, and I think the union bosses should know if a workingman or woman is with them, or against them.

I’m voting Democrat because Sen. Obama has over three years experience in the Federal Government, and “Hope” is a great strategy.

I’m voting Democrat because Sen. Obama voted “present” instead of “yes” or “no” over 120 times in the Illinois State Senate, and I think we need a decisive president.

I’m voting Democrat because I don’t think we give enough to other countries in foreign aid.

I’m voting Democrat because I’m for putting up barriers to free trade, as they did in 1930 with the Smoot-Hawley bill. That made things much better then.

I’m voting Democrat because I miss the high unemployment, inflation and interest rates of the Jimmy Carter years.

Maybe this is a good reason (not) - I received this on my email:

Let's See-----

...... A Guy named Joe, who happens to be a plumber with ambitions for a bigger
business, questioned and challenged a Guy named Barack, who happens to be
running for President of the US/Leader of the Free World...

And within 24 hours the Media has given us more information about Joe 's
life than they've given us about Barack's life in the past 18 months.

Thanks to a diligent press corps, we now know about Joe's professional
licensing status, his income tax situation, his employment history, his
domestic squabbles, his voting record, everything associated with his
personal identity; his education.... It's probably been reported somewhere whether he wears boxers or briefs.

Thanks to a lazy press corps...We still don't know what grades Obama made in
college; how he got into Harvard (he has said himself, affirmative action); when he met Bill "the bomber" Ayers; when he stopped doing illegal drugs; his medical history; whether he still smokes cigarettes; the extent of his affiliation with socialist/communist organizations; why he's no longer a licensed attorney;

whether he lied on his Bar application;----

Whether he'd qualify for a security clearance if he were just an "average
Joe;" what passport he used to travel to Pakistan in 1981; who his
ex-girlfriends are; whether he was or still is an Indonesian citizen; why
his Kenyan grandmother insists he was born there; whether he was ever
legally named Barry Soetoro or anything else besides Barack Hussein
Obama-----;

Why he needed the help of a crook to purchase his family home; where he was
on Nov. 6 and 7, 1999; what the long-version of his birth certificate says;
why he helped an anti-American, pro-Islamic candidate for Kenyan President
against US interests; why he listened to Rev. Wright's sermons for 20 years;
how many times he took his kids to a Rev. Wright sermon; what he actually
did as chair of the Annenberg Challenge; the depth of his relationship with
ACORN... Well, you get the idea.

But, really, I am SO relieved that the Mainstream Media has done its job
vetting Joe The Plumber, who is NOT running for public office, but who had
the AUDACITY to challenge Barack Hussein Obama, who wants my vote for
President of the United States of America."

Ooops, sorry, OP, you wanted reasons to vote for............ but hey, you can now make an educated decision about Joe the plumber

You are wrong - I am looking for intelligent debate of the issues. I am seeking to understand the rationale of Obama supporters. If there are intelligent reasons to support Obama, I would love to hear them.

Nah. Not a cop out. I just don't see the point in repeating what's already been repeated ad nauseum, so that someone who's not interested in logical, intelligent discussion can come up with nine ways from Tuesday why my reasons are "invalid," due to OP's obvious lack of any real interest in reading and comprehending said reasons.

At this point, there's been plenty of time to read all of the previous threads regarding reasons people will/should vote for him (not to mention any number of other outlets for finding such information). The OP should look at those options, instead of starting a new thread rehashing what's been repeated over and over again. If the OP has already made up his/her mind and is voting for McCain, and started this thread as an argument-bait, why should we bother arguing?

OTOH, if the OP is still undecided at this late juncture, and honestly does not know of a single reason to vote for Obama, s/he is either incapable of doing his/her own research (and I refuse to do it for him/her...there are plenty of resources one can watch/listen to/read to form one's own opinion), or s/he will not be convinced in the final 50-odd hours before election day. Who the hell is still undecided two days before an election, anyway? I mean, what do you want from the candidates, in order to make a freakin decision...contracts written in gold?

Like I said, this thread's a waste.

Yes, I did, but unlike a donkey, I said from the beginning where I got it.... I'm straightforward.

You need to seek out the info you're looking for on Obama. Info that should have been readily available all the while. Pssst, they really don't want to know anything....

And again, I've yet to find a good reason to vote dem this year. Too shady.

Why don't you give us some intelligent reasons to support your candidate?

My reason for supporting Nader this year: I do not like either McCain or Obama. (I voted for a different candidate in the primaries). I live in Massachusetts. There is absolutely no way any candidate BUT Obama will win the state. (And obviously my vote does not matter in any national popular vote). Therefore, since I do not like McCain/Obama, I see no reason to vote for either of them. However, I still want to cast my vote for Nader because I want to exercise my fundamental right to vote, even if he has no chance in winning the election.

But, I guess somehow my reasoning is unintelligent.
