Why vote for Obama? OK, where do I start. . .
1) the economy, it is the unwise policies of the the Republican administration (supported by McCain) that have led to the deregulation that has contributed to the mess we are currently in. Also, Bush / McCain, besides being "deregulators", have consistently given tax breaks to the huge corporations that beleive in outsourcing jobs overseas, paying their executives an excessive amount, etc.

2) Our country was MUCH BETTER OFF under the policies of of last Democratic President. . . despite the fact that he was working with a republican controlled congress. . . hint hint

3) This is the ONE THING that we can do to make a real move towards healing race relations in this country

4) If we (America) is going to regain respect in the world community, we MUST elect someone who is intelligent and thoughtful in dealing with international issues! There is ONE CLEAR CHOICE. . .

I could go one, but am late for a dinner appointment. . . if you need more reasons, ask again later. . .

I also said I am not an Obama supporter...so I don't know why one would vote for him.

Seriously though, hundreds of millions of Americans and this is the best we can do???

Obama's economic policies will not improve America's economy, but will in fact worsen it over time. Here's why:
He proposes $700B of new spending, yet
he proposes tax cuts for the middle and lower classes (that money's got to come from somewhere), and
he will not identify any existing programs to be cut.

His policies are anti-business (and I'm talking corporations), which will result in increased unemployment, which will be addressed by spending more money to create government jobs. No, the outcome will not be another Great Depression. It will be increased dependence on government.

Some people don't think a woman should be involved in politics. Since a vote for McCain would be a vote for Palin since they are on the same ticket, that would be going against their beliefs.

So why are you considering voting for him?

Were you going for irony?

You nailed it, if you were.

btw, I'm voting independent this year because I cannot stand either of them, but if I had to choose between the two of them, it would come down to the "lesser of two evils".
Why would you vote "independent" (for a candidate that can't win) and throw your vote away?

I'm not a wild McCain fan (he wouldn't have been my choice to run, but he's what we have), but I am certainly not going to vote for a socialist.

If you vote for someone who can't win, it is the same as a vote for Obama. If you do not want socialism in America, then you have to defeat it. You do that by voting for a candidate who can win and not allow the socialist anywhere near the White House.

I know, I know...McCain may not be the conservative you want. But he can defeat the socialist candidate.

This is election is all about socialism, or capitalism. Bush isn't running. A cpitalist and a socialist are running. Look at it that way.

You know what to do.

S/he isn't. S/he's merely looking for folks to put up statements which will then be peremptorily dismissed.
