How wonderful would THAT be? I watch the infection rate on the DE Coronavirus site and we've been at 0.0% here in Sussex County for several days.

I am so puzzled by this data it isn't funny. I see the 0.0% infection rate, but if you go to the extrapolated data for Sussex County, there are 4 hospitalized with none critical and the 7 day average of positive cases at 4.9% so something is not adding up at all. The good news is even though they numbers don't add up, hopefully we are closing in on this. I am interested to see if they continue the numbers, what they totals will be in this area say mid July, once the beaches are jammed.

I noticed the same thing and wondered how we could have 4.9 new cases but a 0.0 infection rate. It's quite mysterious. The map by zip code that shows the percentage of population fully vaccinated and with one dose was pretty interesting as well. Since I live in Sussex County, I focused on that and was happy with some of the percentages I saw in areas of Lewes, Rehoboth, etc. where we spend the majority of our time. Guess we'll see what happens to the #'s in the next few months. What may make a difference is the age of many of the visitors, as it seems the younger population tends to be less vaccinated. Crossing fingers.
