There may be no reporting today due to state wide network issues on Monday. It says data is delayed.

On another front we are joining several other states in a practice that I personally believe is detrimental. I understand the "why" of doing it, but like anything else these days I believe we give too much.

https://www.wdel.com/news/delaware-o...6363f3dba.html

In my mind this simply rewards "bad" behavior. Note: I am only using that term for lack of a better, more descriptive one and I am not looking to get into a vaccine debate with people.

We were asked to do something to help both ourselves and our nation and many did as they were asked. The incentive to sit back and do nothing until I am rewarded just continues. We can't continue to this an expect a different outcome the next time.

I always paid my bills on time and my mortgage. There were times when the rest of the world was defaulting on mortgages and I paid because it was the right thing to do and I did not dare risk impacting my credit score. There is no longer that sense of the "right" thing, it has become what are you going to give me to do what you ask.
Ok I am out before I fall off my soap box. I will report if the numbers come in today.

I have to admit that my primary reason for getting the vaccine was selfish - to protect myself and family/friends I hoped to see. My secondary reason was because the more that get vaccinated, the better for everyone.

As for the incentives, I wish EVERYONE who got a vaccine was eligible each week and not the newly vaccinated. Here in DE, everyone is eligible for the $302k big prize. At this point, I don't really have an issue with rewarding those who are new to getting vaccinated, as I can't think they waited to see if they could get something out of it. Hoping we can get to the desired 70% nationally, but at least locally!!

I agree, but it disturbs me that we have to offer concessions to get people to do what is asked. Yes the bigger prize is the herd immunity number, but this rewarding for things has to stop. (JMO).
