This is way better than New York County (Manhattan borough), Queens County (Queens), or Bronx County (Bronx).

Feeling really sad for our fellow citizens who are having a difficult time. Hopefully, they reach their peak soon and start trending down.

I agree. This stinks for everyone. I am fortunate that I have remained healthy. The financial devastation is just immense for me, so I've been focused on that. I realize that when you get the Coronavirus, you tend not to think about your financial health for a bit.

Yes. N95 mask will work effectively, if everyone wears mask when they go outside, I expect the total confirmed case will be less than 200k. Dr. Fauci estimates that the total number will be more than a million, that is true because he did not advise people wear masks. There are rich experience, evidence and fact in China, Korea, and japan about wearing mask. Dr. Fauci just refuse to acknowledge it and accept it, the result is a much longer and severe pandemics.

QUOTE=Ralph_Kirk;57694030]A better analogy is that an N95 mask is a torturous labyrinth with walls-of-death.

A droplet is extremely unlikely to wend its way though the filter labyrinth before striking and adhering to a fiber. And then when it does, the fiber will have the secondary effect of dissicating the virus so that it's not even as effectively infectious within the mask as it might have been on a hard surface.[/quote]

For folks who don't have the virus and want to use N95. From what I'm getting back from physicians. The N95 once contaminated is no longer good for reuse. Right now, we have no way to determine if a mask has been contaminated till we can pin point who in our surrounded has the virus. We don't know that information till 2 weeks after the fact your mask gets contaminated. Too many variables involved so lets not limit things to having a N95 mask will work effectively.

It is important to know that N95 will work at the first contact with the virus. It will then need to be replaced with a new one or you can contract the virus by mishandling the contaminated mask.

Updates from Dallas County
Attached is the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID‐19) and Influenza Summary from Dallas County Health and Human Services. These detailed summaries will be available Tuesdays and Fridays.
Attached is a map provided by Dallas County that shows positive COVID-19 cases over zip codes as of 3/26/2020.
64 additional positive COVID-19 were reported today, bringing the total case count in Dallas County to 367.
Hospitalizations from COVID-19 are increasing, with 36% of all hospitalized patients requiring admission to intensive care units.
Of cases requiring hospitalization to date, about two-thirds (65%) have been either over 60 years of age or have had at least one known high-risk chronic health condition.
City Operations
Dallas Code Compliance Services (CCS) has received just under 1,600 complaints related to the amended emergency regulations since March 17. CCS’ intent is to continue educating the public and businesses on the regulations and respond to complaints fielded by the 311 team.
CCS is experiencing a high level of voluntary compliance. Since March 25, approximately 195 “Notices of Violations” were issued to business owners for failing to comply with the provision in the order requiring the order be posted in the window at their business. A notice of violation is not a citation and has no penalties for fines associated with it. CCS has not issued any citations for violation of the order.
Dallas Park and Recreation’s (PKR) Park Rangers will continue to monitor parks and trail usage to ensure compliance of the six-feet safe distance requirement.
PKR staff will be removing any remaining soccer goals, basketball, tennis and volleyball nets beginning Monday, March 30 if PKR is not successful in getting voluntary compliance from park patrons.
Code Enforcement, Parking Enforcement and the Dallas Marshall’s Office will be assisting PKR staff with enforcement issues on parks.
The Dallas Police Department’s Financial Investigations Unit has noticed an increase in the number of residents’ complaints regarding a variety of phone and email scams. The type of scams being reported are not new and may vary, but the current, most common scams are related to COVID-19, the IRS, police, social security, and other types of variations. The scammer’s underlying request can be to purchase gift cards and will request the gift card numbers be provided back to the scammer to resolve the scam issue.
The Dallas Police Department is WARNING residents that no police, federal, or business entity will call you requesting gift cards to resolve an issue.
City Attorney’s Office has updated the stay-at-home FAQs based on the questions the City has received from the public. The FAQs are attached in English and Spanish.
The AAC Community Based Testing Site reached its federal testing capacity today. The federal limit is 250 tests, per site, each day.
Jobs
The Dallas Regional Chamber has launched a virtual job board for displaced workers. The virtual board can be found here, https://sayyestodallas.com/jobs/displaced-workers/
Dallas Nonprofit Emergency Contacts
Attached is a list that can be used to connect individuals who are lacking basic needs and are homebound. This is for emergencies only, for those who cannot leave their home and need expedited care. If it is not an urgency emergency, direct residents to 211 and NorthTexasCares.org.
As always, if you have any questions, please contact my office at (214) 670-3301.

Best regards,

Eric Johnson
Mayor

Based on the COVID-19 data Dallas county map, here are the zip codes with the most reported infections -
75225 - 13 to 17
75206 - 9 to 12
75230 - 9 to 12
75204 - 9 to 12
75201 - 9 to 12
75219 - 9 to 12
75208 - 9 to 12
75115 - 9 to 12

All other zip codes have less than 8 cases. 75225 is the University Park area. It would be interesting to find out the age group for the infected people in 75225. All the zip codes above that includes downtown, uptown, M Streets, etc. seem to be dense.

Unfortunately I think it just hasn't really arrive here yet in full force. It's not even in full force in NYC yet. On the plus side, we aren't as crowded as NYC, have had a bit more advanced warning, and hope to God it is true that the Texas sun will save us. Stats show hot places and ultraviolet like slows the spread. Godspeed.
