Developing a vaccine is quick.

Getting through all the trials and proving out a reasonable measure of safety and long-term effectiveness takes time.

Remember Shelley Luther and her protest to reopen bars and salons. She is considering a run for the Texas SD 30 seat. It was obvious, when she created fundraising page for her events and interviewed on the cable news circuit .

"With Sen. Pat Fallon's victory in this weekend's special election, dozens of you have called, texted, or emailed to ask me about running in the upcoming special election in Senate District 30," Luther said in a post Monday.

uther said she isn't a politician, but as a conservative business owner, she is very concerned about the direction of the Lone Star State.

"Please pray for my family as we consider our next steps," Luther said in the post
.

I hope she enjoys her 15 minutes of fame, because it probably won't last long.

Shelley Luther opened her salon wearing masks and taking customers’ temperatures.
At the same time medical experts such as Dr. Fauci claimed on national TV masks were useless.

"There's no reason to be walking around with a mask," infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told 60 Minutes.
While masks may block some droplets, Fauci said, they do not provide the level of protection people think they do. Wearing a mask may also have unintended consequences: People who wear masks tend to touch their face more often to adjust them, which can spread germs from their hands.

The Shelley Luther fiasco had nothing to do with wearing or not wearing masks.

It had to do with her keeping her salon business open, when it was supposed to be closed. But what landed her in jail was smarting off to the judge.

Masks had nothing to do with any of this.

Also, since when are scientists, doctors, and researchers not allowed to change their stance on something? Just because Fauci believed masks weren't effective early on doesn't make him a liar or fraud for saying they are now effective. It's called learning and adapting as new information is coming in.

Because he didn't really believe masks were not effective early on. He knew they were effective--he has actually said that he discouraged masks for lay people for the specific reason of keeping masks reserved for the medical community...not because they were not effective.
