Here's a look at upcoming events... there's more snow coming folks...

Saturday Jan. 29th - 1-3 inches
Sunday Jan. 30th - 1-3 inches
Feb. 1st - 1-3 inches
Feb. 3rd could be a big one..
Feb 5th - light snow showers
Feb. 7th could be a big one again..

I'll leave it at that for now...

Our mentality needs to change. Everyone needs to adjust and cope. Spring/Summer will be here soon.
Well lookie what decided to show up for the 3rd.

Based on this position it would mean half a foot for coastal CT. A West jog and we can get a foot.

Its only 1 model, its still 1 week away. Have to check the other models. Potential is there.

SNOWSTORM FEBRUARY 03, 2011 UPDATE

Might as well take the day off... 1 model showing 6 inches. Another model just printed 12". Cold air will be in place so snow ratios will be high.

Good luck and be careful, everyone. I lived in Ct for 37 years, and even from afar, seeing the reports, and being in Ct for the Christmas 1st big storm, this is unprecedented.

I usually think like you on this, but I have to say, he's been mostly right this winter.

Latest discussion on one of the NWS sites (not sure if it's OKX, BOX, or PHI (the Philly site)) said that the "12 inch model" (the Euro) is starting to agree with the GFS (which was saying a weak clipper, but maybe that was the "6 inch" scenario.

But I don't know what to think anymore, "law of averages" (something I mentioned a week or two ago) is obviously going out the window this winter.....

Its not his accuracy its his giddyness. If you are a snow lover and trump snow, the models have been very kind this year.

Yeah, I can't put exact years, but I remember when they'd keep predicting big northeast coast snow storms and 90% of the time they'd either miss us or be rain.....

That's what I was telling my boss today. This is how I remember the winters as a child in the 70's and early 80's.

Yeap.. 70's were a great childhood memory... Very different now being I didnt have to pick up a tool or worry about anything back then...

I'm still speechless at what happened... 10-12 would have been fine but 20 was uncalled for... lol
