Who wanted July in October?
Well, step outside!

Pretty much a July/August morning out there right now. 6am in the upper 60s & 70s! 15-25 above normal with Dewpoints in the 60s too. VERY Warm and Muggy.

The highest Normal low temp at BDR all year is 67! (July 15-Aug 11)

Wearing a suit and running around for a employee event was not fun yesterday with the humidity. If you want this weather in October move to Florida lol. I had my first fire on Sunday and loved it but inrefuse to turn the AC back on when I already closed the vents and sealed it up for the year.

It wasn't cold this morning! Yay!!

It's going to suck lugging 2 big duffel bags of laundry tomorrow morning. I'd estimate about 7 blocks and a 12-minute walk...without using the umbrella.

And here it is... Accuweather 2014-15 Winter Forecast. Longer detailed breakdown with link, will post Northeast summary in case link goes bad. Looks like CT is in the Mix Zone.

US Winter Forecast: Cold, Snow to Seize Northeast; Wintry Blasts to Slick South

Though parts of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic had a gradual introduction to fall, winter will arrive without delay. Cold air and high snow amounts will define the season.

After record-shattering temperatures and high snow totals last winter in the Northeast, a similar theme will continue into the 2014-2015 season.

Cold air will surge into the Northeast in late November, but the brunt of the season will hold off until January and February. The polar vortex, the culprit responsible for several days of below-zero temperatures last year, will slip down into the region from time to time, delivering blasts of arctic air.

"I think, primarily, we'll see that happening in mid-January into February but again, it's not going to be the same type of situation as we saw last year, not as persistent," AccuWeather.com Expert Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok said.

In addition to the cold air, a big snow season could be in the offing. Higher-than-normal snow totals are forecast west of the I-95 corridor.

"Places like Harrisburg, down to Hagerstown getting into the mountains, the Appalachians, I think that's where you're going to see your bigger, heavier amounts," Pastelok said.

Philadelphia, which received a whopping 68.9 inches last season, is forecast to close this season with snow totals just above normal. New York City will likely follow suit.

The I-95 corridor and eastward could fall victim to changeover systems, which will provide a messy wintry mix at times.

In other words...it will be a typical winter. I am pretty sure all of the above happens just about every year, no?

I try not to comment on forecasts anymore but I will say.. use the map as the "average", not per event. In other words they are thinking more mix events than snow for us.

Does it happen like they mentioned every year? I don't think it does. I don't want 2011-12 or 2007-08 ever again. LOL

Bridgeport, CT temp graph this month vs normal. 6th Warmest October so far at 59.3° Avg Temp

You see which days are putting us over the edge. Meanwhile we don't have the same anomaly difference for cold nighttime lows.

This week's weather is freaking disgusting. Period.

Yet another reason to despise this state.
