Fun fact, Hurricane Sandy in order to hit the way it did was a 1 in 500 year event .

Not a pattern for frost or freeze guys. The growing season and green leaves continue.

Still don't see cold or frost threat through mid October now.

. Everytime GFS hints at frost or freeze or any kind of cold in the area its taken away followed by mutiple updates showing warmth continuing.

Of course anything can change past 10 days but man am I getting nervous.

Mother nature can't make up her mind! I wished that she stopped being a .

I hope that it chills down to at least past fall normal temps very soon as I want to visit New England again when it's at least cool/chilly, if I wanted a longer heat duration I would've moved to AZ.

Okay Cambium, is there any indication of at least a cool down later in the month?

Only 7 times this year the CTcoast (Bridgeport,BDR) has had 80+ temps with 59- Dewpoints.
5/12, 5/26, 6/7, 6/15, 7/5, 8/8, 8/18.

It's not often we get this warm and dry! I am not minding it at all. We're a good 10+ above normal. Same tomorrow!

2pm temps.

Another Large High Pressure right over us.

We might break some record highs tomorrow.....across the tri state most of the record highs for tomorrow are only in the low-mid 80s (for example, BDR's for tomorrow is just 81!). Central Park is the exception as they apparently had an 88 back in 1881 (one of only two years that a 100+ temperature was achieved in September there!)

Will be interesting to see what BDL hits tomorrow.

NWS Boston hints at some records being broken. Especially at BDL.

Also, interesting to note the lows tonight. That would be quite a temp rise if BDL hit's the forecasted 87.

BDL's Forecast.
  • Tonight Increasing clouds, with a low around 54. Calm wind.
  • Sunday Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon.

FORECAST IN GOOD SHAPE. CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS ALLOWING TEMPERATURES TO DROP OFF QUICKLY. LOWS IN 40S AND 50S ARE ON TRACK. PATCHY DENSE FOG WILL FORM ONCE AGAIN IN MANY LOW LYING AREAS... ESPECIALLY IN CT RIVER VALLEY AND PARTS OF INTERIOR E MA. ALREADY SEEING FOG REPORTED IN KEENE /0.5 MI/...ORANGE AND TAUNTON. && .

SHORT TERM /6 AM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/... TOMORROW AND TOMORROW NIGHT... HIGH PRESSURE WILL CREST OVER THE REGION TOMORROW BEFORE EXITING THE REGION TOMORROW NIGHT. MIXING WILL REACH UP TO 900MB TOMORROW...AND WITH TEMPS WARMER ALOFT THEN TODAY ADDED 3 DEGREES TO TODAYS HIGHS. THEREFORE ANTICIPATE TEMPS TO REACH THE MID TO UPPER 80S WHICH COULD MAKE A RUN AT SEVERAL RECORDS...ESP AT PVD AND BDL. ANTICIPATE A WEAK SEA BREEZE AGAIN TOMORROW ON BOTH COASTLINES.
