Enjoy tonight guys. Something tells me it will be the coolest we get until October. But don't worry, I've been wrong about a lot of things lately. LOL

Forecasted lows. Some 30s in Litchfield & higher elevations possible

Its amazing how the air feels with dewpoints in the 40s! Even being in the 60s it feels chilly especially with the wind.

Current dewpoints this evening. Strong, Large High Pressure in Ohio Valley dropping dewpoints into the 50s down to northern Gulf States.

See? At least I'm consistent. LOL!

Just thinking out loud here...

This past weekend we had an uncommon coastal storm riding up the coast. (usually they happen October thereafter)... And considering the fact that we did not have a coastal storm last 2 Septembers, AND the fact that October last year had 3 BUT way west of where this past weekend was ..... Did I lose you yet? ..

My thoughts are that maybe this year things are favoring coastal systems closer to coast?

So maybe that's why models are now showing the precip as opposed to before being well off shore.

Ok, back to my corner now.

For those that don't think we need weather models.... or don't understand that weather changes in such short time....

NWS NY Yesterday

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
702 AM EDT MON SEP 22 2014

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL PROVIDE THE REGION WITH FAIR AND DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH THE MAJORITY OF THE LONG TERM PERIOD.

THINKING THE HIGH WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH TO KEEP THE PRECIPITATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LOW SOUTH OF THE REGION.

------------------------------------

NWS NY Today

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
357 PM EDT TUE SEP 23 2014

ALL TRENDS HAVE BEEN FOR A WET FORECAST FROM THURSDAY INTO AT LEAST THURSDAY NIGHT AND HAVE INCREASED POPS TO LIKELY.

For us this storm would start this Thursday morning and get heavy Thursday afternoon. Hopefully clearing by Friday morning. Depends how fast it moves.

Check out Euro max wind gusts. 30-40mph around Maryland&Delaware Wednesday night.

Then to NYC metro Thursday afternoon.

So maybe everyone in CT should expect 20-30mph wind gusts Thursday with heavy rains at time. Heavier rains & winds the closer to coast you are

Is that the same storm that was *supposed* to form into a tropical system off the coast of Florida?

Not sure, Didn't follow it so didn't hear anything. This one is not tropical system and I think it formed near Carolinas.
