Yeah, frost advisories are at the border northwards. Close for Litchfield. I think fog may play a role in preventing frost in higher elevations of Litchfield. We'll never know if nobody reports anything.

I'm thinking I'll hit 44. BDL 41. BDR 47. Danbury 40. Norfolk 38

Maybe. We'll see. For who though. I bet it gets lowered as we move forward. Typical for them.

50° already in Colebrook right now.
62° at BDR

Not Connecticut related, but Hurricane Edouard is expected to peak at 120MPH (Cat 3). Im wondering if it can make 140MPH (Cat 4).

Secondly, Cambium what are you counting down to?

Maybe its just me, but the air tonight in Trumbull and Hamden has this odd smell to it. Almost slightly like an SOS pad you use to clean pots and pans

Yeah, you're probably right....

It showed 78 for NYC both those days. So I assume mid-70s for Bridgeport and Danbury, but possibly upper 70s for BDL.

6:15am. Not too bad. 40s found down to northern Virginia. 30s stayed in northern new england except few pockets here and there... 7-15 below normal.

I bottomed at 46.5°F at 4:30am and have gone up since. Already at 50! Damn Ocean!

Norfolk dropped to 41.
Danbury 40
BDL 46

Dr. Doug at The Weather Network shows their first draft of their Winter Forecast.

Video with link mentions Pacific waters and some analog years they feel matches their thoughts..

News - El Niño and its impact on Winter 2014/15: "Pattern resembles what we saw last winter" - The Weather Network

August is ridiculous to put out a forecast. All about the clicks.
September is still too early but mentioning a thought is fine, not forecast
Mid-End of October should be when you start to release you're first forecasts
Mid-End of November should be when the final forecast gets put out
December you're cheating but drastic changes should be pointed out

That's my feelings on how Winter Forecasts should come about.
