I want some lightning photos posted from in the woods. Just don't stand near a tall tree. LOL And bring an umbrella.

Cambium, when do you think temperatures will drop reliably to the low 50s at night for us cold weather lovers in New Hampshire? I am looking forward to a chill in the air

The best thing to do in a lightning storm:

Stand in a tall metal building !

Low 50s reliably? Without looking at any stats I would think end of August for you.

But rest assure.. after this weekend we'll all experience a weird summer feel. Temps will feel like September. Cool dry nights and days. Might last a few days too. Will check the latest in the morning.

Enjoy the warm humid weekend. Things change after.

Buy your snow removal equipment early with the way these fronts from the arctic like winter are coming down already.

Last Sunday and Monday Mornings while I was staying in Manchester, NH were a delight in the upper 50's and that fresh cleaner air (to me) smell!

Looking at the latest... Get your outdoor stuff done today or Sunday morning. That's the best times even though today could bring some scattered summer storms as well.

The large storm over Southern Canada right now is going to dive southeast towards Great Lakes. Have to see if a new storm develops around NYC and merges with it. That would bring strong storms to the area.

If it doesn't and the Parent low just curls north back into Canada then the storms stay further north.

FYI.... a 996mb storm would be 16mb stronger than normal this time of year. We don't get strong storms like this on land in the summer!

Expect Rain and Storms Sunday afternoon and Monday in the Northeast. A Fall pattern for sure. Interesting to see this!!

After that..no beach weather for few days.

No 90s north of D.C next 2 weeks. Possibly after August 7th, we'll see.

Can't rule out some local 90s tomorrow though.

No heat waves in sight still for Northeast.
