How much rain did we get from this latest system? I think there are leaves in my Dsvis rain gauge since it is showing 1.4".... my guess is closer to 3".

1.45" IMBY. Will grab the radar estimates tonight.

Willimantic: 2.34"
Danbury: 1.23"
BDR: 0.81"
BDL: 0.92"

Still raining lightly in few of those spots.

Rainfall total past 24hrs based on "radar estimates". (estimates, not actual)

You can see where the heaviest rains fell. Yellows start 1.50".

So Euro12z says Danbury,CT will be 40° by 8pm Sunday, GFS says 44°.

Either way, It's looking like a Cold Sunday and Sunday night coming. 40s after sunset for many areas north of Philly.

Upton mentions low 30s for places like Danbury and north of Merritt and I-287. I noticed they dropped my forecast low since couple days ago. I'm thinking frost now.

HIGH PRES THEN MOVES INTO THE OH VALLEY ON SUNDAY. H8 TEMPS DROP
TO -2 TO -4C...RESULTING IN HIGH TEMPS ONLY IN THE 50S...WHICH ARE
ABOUT 10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. TIGHT PRES GRADIENT FORMS BETWEEN
APPROACHING HIGH AND LOW PRES OVER EASTERN CANADA...RESULTING IN
NW WINDS 15-20 MPH WITH 20-30 MPH GUSTS.

GRADIENT RELAXES SUNDAY NIGHT. THE COMBINATION OF CAA AND CLEARING
SKIES WITH LIGHT WINDS WILL YIELD LOWS IN THE LOW 30S ACROSS THE
INTERIOR AND IN THE UPPER 30S TO AROUND 40 ELSEWHERE

From Quincy V.

"A hard freeze appears likely for most of inland Connecticut Sunday night/Monday morning with lows in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees."

Why do I open my mouth. Or maybe I actually saw something coming? Not a "threatning" system but next week looks dreary.

All Models agreeing on a coastal system next week.

Euro is the weakest
GFS looks unorganized & then develops it the north most near Maine
Navgem the strongest

Either way, looks like a prolonged period of rain, clouds, & some wind. Still early for timing. Looks to be about Wed-Friday

Coldest night of the season coming up Sunday night. Time to bring the plants inside.

I would do it this evening today since tomorrows Highs will be cold and add wind gusts of 25mph on top of that it will feel like 40s during the day.

So tonight is a good day to bring them in.

Enjoy the upper 60s/70s today!
