PNW in 2022:

Tacoma - 43 murders - 19.6/100k rate
Seattle - 57 murders - 7.8/100k rate
Portland - 96 murders - 15.0/100k rate

Agreed. 13 per month would still be a rate of 27/100k for the year. Not great but a long way away from the 50+ per capita we've been seeing.

It was at a rate of 31 around 2011, same rate as DC in 2022 with 201.

Winnipeg at 51 homicides. Most ever which gives it a metro wide homicide rate of 6.1 homicides per 100k.

Thunder Bay also saw its worst year ever at 15 homicides giving it a metro wide homicide rate of 11.5 homicides per 100k.

A juvenile has been shot dead in the Cavalier Manor section of Portsmouth tonight. Been a murder every day since Christmas. That's 39 for the year and hopefully the last; if not, it'll be the first time Portsmouth ever hits 40...
