Trenton: https://s4.ad.brown.edu/projects/div...cityid=3474000

Mount Vernon: https://s4.ad.brown.edu/projects/div...cityid=3649121

Wilmington, if included would be next: https://s4.ad.brown.edu/projects/div...cityid=1077580

This also may look different with Mount Vernon dropping to 16th if there was information for Irvington NJ, which would likely be in between Bridgeport and Hartford. It is a township and not a city though: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irving...y#Demographics
https://s4.ad.brown.edu/projects/div...cityid=3434440

So, this can also give an idea in regards to bigger cities and population numbers in the region.
Here is an update on this using this source: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com/census/

NYC: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...k/160-3651000/

Philadelphia: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...60-4210160000/

New Haven: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...t/160-0952000/

(If included) Wilmington: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...e/160-1077580/

(If Wilmington isn't included) Paterson: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...y/160-3457000/

Would be next, Trenton: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...y/160-3474000/

Out of these cities listed; Newark, Buffalo, Bridgeport, Mount Vernon and Syracuse actually grew in terms of black population from 2010-2020. Out of these cities, only Bridgeport and Syracuse increased their percentage among the city population.

If it was a city instead of a township, Irvington NJ would be in between Bridgeport and Hartford and it also grew in black population: https://data.burlingtonfreepress.com...60-3401334450/

I think for Harrisburg, it does have some suburbs with a substantial black middle class presence and the city has one of the highest percentages in the Northeast.

Probably someone who preferred small-sized cities and liked it's proximity to Baltimore and Philadelphia. If that was their line of thought though, I'd personally rather live in Wilmington.

I was just thinking, but I'm wondering how many Northeastern states could have one of these videos done, given the criteria in them?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiOn73Bpchs

I may attempt this later, but was wondering about this. I'm also curious if they would actually do one for a state in the Northeast(or other regions outside of the South).

people wouldn't do this for the northeast, people don't think that way in general.

And if they did it would be just NJ, NY (NYC), PA (Philly)

You're likely right, but I think it would be interesting to see what zip codes would make it. I may attempt to do this based on their criteria, with an adjustment for cost of living. Their criteria is at least 30% black and a median household income of at least $50k, with it going up to say at least 60-65k for the NYC area.

Out of those states, there are a couple of surprises in NY and PA that would fit that criteria outside of the major metro in both states.

I'll start with PA, but not in any order...Remember, the criteria the videos generally uses for their lists and even the previous list for middle class minimums for a household of 3.

I believe that is it for PA. The last 2 are in the Harrisburg and Pittsburgh areas.
