5 Star Bakery in Lincoln Shopping Center they had the best hard rolls I have ever eaten. If anyone ever reading this has the recipe that would be great.

McDonalds across the street. I was one of the 10 boys hired to open up the place. It was owned by a tall Texan who owned a bunch of McDonalds in Texas and opened the one up in Oceanside in 1966. I was a french fry guy and then left to do the same at Nathan's down the road.

I remember Murray's Candy store, next door to Uneeda Prime Meats. on Brower and Davidson. I bought every Superman comic they sold. If only I still had them today.

I spent a lot of time at the Cozy Corner Lots following the paths and remember on the corner the house with the crying Madonna.

Dairy Queen was a great attraction on that corner.

Oceanside was a great place to grow up in. I have great memories of life there in the 1960s and the 1970s.

Wow, what great memories! I'll go you one better-I'm old enough to recall when there was no Daly Blvd, and where the TSS/Kohl's store is now was a 'sand flat.'And I remember when the town dump and incinerator across Long Beach Rd were first built in the very early 1960s. Also, Mildred's store across from Nathan's, and Chwatsky's. And the old American Legion post on Atlantic Avenue. Great place to grow up.

Does anyone remember Oceanside Beach? I have very vague memories of being there when I was a kid, after which it was closed due to pollution of the waters.
