I was below the dam the other day watching people fishing and waiting to start snagging (after sunset). Water was running over the gates from the lake and it was something to see all the carp jumping up where the water came down. A man walked by and said maybe we could call them Kentucky salmon by the way they were trying to get up there. lol

I think everyone should have a pump shotgun around the house, 12 gauge is more versatile but 20 gauge will do. I'm a fan of Mossberg 590 Cruiser models or Remington 870 models for home defense needs.
I'll pass. Nothing wrong with having a weapon around the house but we're not that paranoid yet.
