I'm working towards a second degree and for an online class, we've been sternly warned several times as to the consequences for not using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
The very annoying TA, who repeatedly warns (complains to) us regarding a variety of issues, announced that she "would have to grade assignments by hand (poor thing) because the online system only accepts the exact answer and doesn't allow for mispellings."
My own writing skills are lacking...I know, but this made me smile. Do you have any idea how hard it was to keep my inner snark monster at bay?
