Ha! It's more that last syllable that bugs me I think. "lous" should be pronounced "luss", not "liss".

Ah, well. If only everyone were as perfect as me!! Lol

So, I'm reading these supportive messages on Facebook, where people are dealing with dire, important, life-changing issues, but when I see "your the best, your strong, your loved," it's all I can do not to scream/type "you're! you're! you're!"

Am I missing the forest for the trees!!

Per uh lus sounds prettier when singing. Maybe that's why it evolved into that.
