Yum - that does sound good. Is the turkey battered?
No, but I would like to try it that way!
It was brined in salt water and covered with some seasoning. Takes about three minutes a pound to cook. It was nice and moist. I actually bought a 20 lb turkey yesterday so we deep fried another one last night.
Such a wonderful Thanksgiving. I can't remember the last time I ate so much food.
We had a couple over from England experience their first American Thanksgiving. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. They were quite excited to watch my father deep fry the turkey. Welcome to the good old USA.
Deep fried turkey?? I'd have to go running for 2 hours to burn that off!
You wouldn't like my house then, there are no decorations up here.
Lame! Lol jk But I'm sure your house is much "homier" than a college campus. Even outside of the holiday season this place has no soul. I'm stuck in a soulless bubble for days or weeks at a time. There's no place like home.
Happy that all our snow and ice has melted - makes it so much easier to get about.
I am certainly an "anti-cold lover" - I look forward not to the snow, but watching it slowly melt into the ground when those lovely mild temps and dewpoints filter in. I wish I could make a timelapse video of it all disappearing, that would be most satisfying to watch over and over again (meanwhile cold lovers everywhere are slitting their wrists).

Happy to be finished with school for the semester. Less than two weeks until I hop on a plane to Canada.
