Edit: Looking at the radar at 10:30 PM eastern time, I see no pinks and the only white I see is over Arkansas. Everywhere else rain. I guess the changeover in east Tennessee/north Georgia is happening later tonight?
Watching tv this afternoon they had a storm cancellations crawl on the bottom of the screen. Hundreds of regional churches have called off in person services for tomorrow ... so at least here in the Triangle region of NC, were still expecting something wintry. We’ll see overnight tonight and tomorrow morning what actually happens ...
Loop past 4hrs... Upper Low over Mississippi and gulf moisture being sucked north. As that ULL swings east, rain will be changing to snow in many areas..
You can see who's reporting what here. I see ice in SC starting.
The " ? " icons = mixed precip
Thanks. I think I seen a little snow/sleet accumulation around there. Less than an inch. I assume it will change to rain with the southern flow ahead of the ULL?
Meanwhile West of you... Im seeing 8-10" on the ground already. Will North Carolina win the poll?
Going to check in today with relatives in Brevard, NC, and watch it closely. 10" so far and 5-9" more to come. This area may indeed win, Cambium, but then again, this thing is far from done! Worried for them.
Have some accumulation on the deck. Seems to go back and forth between sleet and freezing rain. My street appears to be a sheet of ice.
