Hasn't been above 35F today and wind chill not above 28F!

Wunderground is callling for 8F Monday night. I think that would be the coldest since December 1989!

Now showing both Mon & Tues as ice days and Sunday barely getting above freezing. Looking like the winter weather event Monday will be more ice/sleet as opposed to snow...

Since about 730/8 this morning it has been basically right at 40/41 the entire day. Literally has not changed more than an degree or so. Might drop one or two degrees tonight. Then may warm up to 45 after some rain. Then a low of 40...
Basically just gonna be real steady around 40 to 45 from now until maybe Sunday afternoon assuming it reaches the upper 40s as forecast. I think at one point Monday morning here was supposed to be down into the mid teens. Now the low is forecast to be 41 lol.

Meanwhile in TX, just keeps getting worse. Was focused on Monday and Tuesday morning but sheesh, low of 5 Monday morning, up to just 12, then a low of 2 below 0. Then another day stuck in the (upper) teens on Tuesday.

College Station now showing a low 1 Tuesday morning. That's about 150 miles south of Dallas. That is some distance.
Richmond now showing a high of just 24 (ties my coldest day in Atlanta ever) and a low of 8 (1 degree warmer than my coldest morning in Atlanta. And then of course their 11-15 day is nothing but 70s...

A latitude of 30.5 N, an elevation of just 350 ft above sea level, and an air temp near 0 F. Lol, Texas.

Somehow, Coden, AL accomplished that exact temp during 1989, despite being right on the shores of the Gulf at the same latitude.

Having that said, I think that's a strange forecast for College Station, because even the forecast I saw for Dallas is 0°F. It probably hinges upon how much snowfall actually verifies.

Dumping snow in Seattle right now where I'm spending the week...we have about an inch and a half so far and could have nearly a foot by the morning. It's 26 degrees, so the snow is powdery, unusual for here, and there's a stiff breeze. It's very cool to have wintry weather in semi-unusual places across the country at the same time. Can't believe the forecast high of 15 for Dallas on Monday.

Which side of the gulf would you rater be on this morning? 70s at 6:30am or 30s? 18 above normal or 16 below normal.

Look at those teens and 20s in Texas. Wow.

8.9" snowpack here.. I grabbed a core and melted it down.
There's 1.55" liquid still sitting on the ground . Hope it continues! Perfect for spring gardening.

Cold nights and days preventing a quick meltdown.
