Happy Canadian Thanksgiving / Columbus Day weekend! I'll be trying to limit my time on the computer for the next couple weeks as I'm trying to be more productive in my spare time. We'll see how it goes.

Finally! Looks like it's happening. Now we'll see what the actual details and temps will be. Clouds would help keep those temps down during the day. Wonder how many times you saw sun and mid 60s in mid October?
Can't come soon enough lol. At 10 AM the dewpoint was 75F, with temp of 82F and forecast to reach 91F...
Its typically warm when sunny with low humidity in October, but diurnal ranges can be big with chilly nights. Last year we had a decent cool snap at the end of the month - on Oct 28 I think it was sunny in the afternoon and the max was 58F!
I am 28 miles northwest of Tampa. They had more rain than i did this summer. The coast got much less compared to inland areas. We had maybe 12 days with a east flow. Almost everyday we had a reverse west windflow where showers moved toward the east coast.
Unfortunately it could easily undergo rapid intensification, which seems likely at this juncture.
Looks like it could be too far to the west to give me much. The stronger it gets the more it wraps itself up and the rain does not go out as far east like in a loop sided system. I just got back from fishing 80 miles offshore and it was blowing the whole trip at 20 or more knts. Kinda rough to fish with a screaming current and a boat swinging and near 8ft seas.
After several false starts and one more round of snow and cold for Alberta, I do think there's a genuine pattern change in the works this time.
I really hope so, farmers from Alberta and as far east as Manitoba stand to lose
millions $ ...iif they can’t get their crop in this fall.
Fields are wet and snowy and most harveting has be halted,
waiting for warmer and drier weather.
If not, could be a financial disaster for some.
