Tampa, yes?.
Climate change did in the rainy season, been watching your radar the past 2 summers.
In 2000 I was drenched daily in Ft. Myers, at almost the same time; 2-4pm.
And these were prolific lighting and wind producers, forming out in the glades and always heading west into the Gulf.

Don't think I'd like to be around should a hurricane ride up the mouth of Tampa Bay, at least nearshore.
I rode out Charlie, but storm surge was minimal due to small size of the system.

I am 28 miles northwest of Tampa. They had more rain than i did this summer. The coast got much less compared to inland areas. We had maybe 12 days with a east flow. Almost everyday we had a reverse west windflow where showers moved toward the east coast.

Athens could see two 95 F days in a row. Has that ever happened in October before?

It's hotter up there than down here in south Georgia.

I know you guys got heat going on but latest Euro is just fascinating to see.

I thought maybe Hurricane Michael would affect the cool down next weekend but nope, still happening and it looks like 1 reason. Its strong enough!

Thats #1 interesting factor. Even with the strong tropical airmass push end of week the cold shot still forces in. Might be delayed a day but still happens.

#2 interesting thing is... there may be a storm within the cold airmass to produce a snowstorm ftom MidWest to Quebec. Wondering if northern New Eng gets involved.

Still too early but pretty cool run.

On phone, hard to post multiple images

Possibly four days where some parts of the metro area will reach into the 80s before sharply cooler air settles in during next weekend

Lol look at the temperature spread tomorrow. 57F north suburbs 80 degrees down by me. mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday
