Had huge snowflakes here on the north side of Indy for a bit this morning. Now it's back to much smaller flakes. South side definitely seems to be getting hit harder than the north side right now.
Last 4 hour loop. 4:40-8:40amCST.
Such a narrow band but what an interesting pattern how it's diving SouthEast!
Poor Chicago missing out.
Just started snowing in Cincinnati.
4-10" new snow across Iowa and MN.
2-4" over some areas of Illinois.
No reports from Indiana yet.
Snowing on the blue ridge mountains again
Note the Lightning icons. Thunderstorms with rain at the MO/IL border.

Yeah, where I am at work the grass is covered. At least an inch on the ground. At the house, 10 miles east, there's barely a dusting on the roofs.
Only in Indiana can one say it is technically spring now, and outside the biggest snowstorm of the “winter” season is happeningif this isn’t craziness then I don’t know what is.

The snow started about 11 am, very light at first. Measured 4" at 4 pm and coming down very fast and heavy. Looks like we will get a foot of the darn stuff.
Warming temps in the coming days will have it all melted by Wednesday at the latest.

Elevation component there is definitely key in accumulations.
The snow started a little after noon, and we now have about 4.5 inches on the ground.
I think it is coming down at rates of at least an inch an hour. It's been snowing at a very consistent rate since it started. I will be surprised if we get less than 12 inches by the time it is over.
I just snapped this photo:
EDIT: It just started snowing harder than before. Can't wait to see how much we get overall. I'm at 2500 ft elevation, Zugor what about you?
