As it stands this month is in top 5 coldest ever if month finished today.... coldest march of century and coldest march since 1969...march is also running colder than an average february.... agriculurally this month has been a **** show after a **** show winter, farmers are cumming their pants now im sure of it... also latest spring greenup after the early start, still looks like early march when on average by the end of the month we are leafing out ... combined with the unusual snow... extremely unusual month and what makes me so mad is its mainly affecting northeastern nc while everywhere else nearby is running close to average.... speaking for south of course... i realize north been unusually cold.

Just checked and month is tied with march 1915 for least 60 degree days on record with 5.... the absurdity of this.... northeastern nc deserves a break... ever since 2013 its been a non stop **** show with brief breaks that were ****ed by more record cold.... this year had one of the coldest periods ever recorded and a cold blast that rivaled 1989 followed by coldest march of decade... noe end in sight per forecast with continued below average weather.
I didn't realize this was happening there! WOW. Normal max is 66° and it didn't pass 50° yesterday with 0.2" of snow. 3 days ago it didn't pass 42°???

With 7 days left here is where March Avg temp stands there. Coldest since 1969 and 5th coldest.

Here is Richmond Virginia! Coldest since 1959 and 7th coldest March on record.

Snowfall totals. Indianapolis was just caught in the most narrow swath of snow I remember and with decents totals too. How often do we see a gradient like this and angled like this?

Zoomed in. 12-18" in the WV higher elevations.

Incredible that it hasn't reached 50 degrees yet, but the trees behind my yard are starting to grow red buds.

^^^^^^^^^

I can’t believe it either, so far, February 2018 has been warmer than March 2018 in Indianapolis.

NYC was 60 on March 1. After that it didn't even reach 50 again until the 22nd and the high of 51 yesterday is the warmest high since the 1st.
