Today's high temp was 18.9°C, 1.7°C below average; and this mornings low (which most likely will not stick based on the forecast) was 10.6°C, 2.3°C above average

Winter weather advisories have been issued for areas just to the south and east. Local meteorologist is still saying a max of half an inch of snow accumulation is still possible in Alexandria.

Interesting and I see why the front cant pass Florida with this configuration. Bottom of the ridge still hanging on there + the Sub Tropical Jet Stream is in play..
I also see why the Jet stream is digging to Mexico on a positive tilt. The Atlantic Ridge doesn't wanna budge. And that's the reason for coastal snow in Mid Atlantic and Northeast. Cool to see everything happening

Lastly... Perfect look at the cold air mass aloft which is pushing SouthWestward.. Awesome.
5000' temps. Below freezing down to Mexico. And yes,, weather models had this 7+ days ago.
