Looks like cold air damming kept us in the 50s today. The warm humid air comes back Thursday with a forecast high of 80 F.

Wonderful. Looks like 8"-12" in my neighborhood. Good thing I got a short bike ride in this afternoon. It was a beautiful day. And also that I haven't put the snow shovel and blower away yet.

I like cold-air damming during the winter. Aside from this coming weekend, the next 10 days looks like a bunch of [expletive deleted].

looks like a rather weak difference between Washington east & west of the Cascades are both nearly as cold. Normal in a winter cold snap in the Pacific Northwest?

NWS is calling for 79F here Thursday, though TWC forecasting 73F Thursday.

The second half of February is looking warm, wet, and cloudy...

Not usual at all. They're usually a lot colder. When we dip down to ~-10C, you can expect Kelowna to be below -20C.

That's exactly why it won't happen. Places near the water are always warmer or less cold.

Today it never got past 44F, which is 42F colder than the high one year ago on today's date!
It got up to 89F in OKC that day. Not so warm this time around, but it could get well into the 70s on Thursday.
