This morning temps at 5000' with Upper Heights (orange lines)

No question if that SouthEast Ridge wasn't around, Eastern U.S would be experiencing another long cold Arctic blast. Impressive SER flex down there..

So with that, the cold air has to go somewhere and that's why Western U.S is getting the Jet dip.

57F this morning at 8AM. I'll take that! Looking for our warmest high since early December today but it's definitely going to rain. Very little snow or cold in the forecast but there was a warning from the National Weather Service yesterday evening that we could see 2 to 4 inches of rain over the course of the next week.

Far colder than our forecast lol. And come summer I hope you enjoy those rotten beaches and frigid ocean waters of yours. Our summers blow your bone dry cold at night summers away not to mention our beaches with people swimming all day long in 75F plus water.

I took this video a couple summers ago. Why don't you post a video of your beaches in summer with people frolicking in that lovely ocean water you have lol.

It's 70°F in Lexington! And the dewpoint is a muggy (for February) 62°F. Suddenly feels like spring.

what are you talking about? Our winter has been super mild. Let me know when your lowest temperature in mid February is 28F. Everyone knows the north Pacific ocean is cold and is bad for swimming.

I am enjoying this mild spell of above freezing temps. Nice to thaw out with how cold the first two weeks of the month have been. Also look forward for fresh snow next week.

So, that forecast you have now is colder than our forecast. And yes our winters are colder, duh. But it is a price worth paying for a beach lover like me come summer. Your nights in summer are dry and cold, while our nights are warm and humid. And our beaches far far more enjoyable.
