Both are not related.

Loop last 4 hrs. 2-6am. Missing us. Hartford getting some flurries at the bottom edge of it. Looks like its missing Pittsburgh but I see a nice batch heading their way now from NE Ohio so they'll get some in next couple hours.

Crazy active December and that's what I like, especially with an active northern stream.. Just need the 2 Jets to dance!

We had a system on

Dec 1st
Dec 5th
Dec 9th
Today Dec 12th

We have potentially 5 more in next 2 weeks. Incredible pattern... Just need the 2 Jet streams to merge to give us a big storm, and in the right place!

I outlined the storm tracks for...

Dec 12th
Dec 14th
Dec 18th
Dec 20th
Dec 21st
Dec 26th

Don't get crazy about the details like timing and PType.
The 18th & 20th might be one event as the models are trying to figure it out.

Is there a site where this map is updated daily by any chance?

Use this link. Might need to change the date on the left. Link is for past 48hrs. You can choose the "Interpolated SF (24hrs)" to see past 24hrs. Note the time frame as well. Right now it's only through 7pmEST (00z) yesterday.. give it a couple hrs and it will have to 12z this morning.

Drag the mouse and form a box over the map to see a close up of the area.

Yeah we missed most of the overnight stuff. Only 0.2" fell in my backyard. Commute was rough though, started coming down hard so hopefully we end up with 2 or 3". And it's forecasted for 3-5" tomorrow now. Seems high but I guess well see closer how it ends up.

Update 8am: 0.5" now

Nice. Looks like its ending or lightening up for you now.

10:30amEST.. 50s for NYC and the coast with rain as the clipper is near the CAN/US border.. Cold and snow in Northern New England. West Virginia getting snow now on backside.. I might get some of that tonight.

Check out the airmass coming... Teens in Wisconsin and Michigan.

NAM for Thursday 1amEST. Another clipper, this time south more.. I drew in the track. Arctic air already in place its all snow.

Starts snowing in OH & PA later Wed evening and into NJ/NY/CT Wednesday night. Misses Northern New England. Light stuff, not a big storm.
