went to 37°F could see a lot of melting; snow doesn't look fresh anymore; still pretty
I don't know. Still looks ok here. Not like it just fell but its not dirty. Does look heavy though from the melting.
7am: Still got 3" on the ground and I just took a core and melted it. 0.35".
So 1.7" melted yesterday and I lost 0.15" liquid off the ground.

How about this morning.. Well above normal in the northern Plains, nowhere else and well below normal in the southeast.
Another cold morning down south. Wow at 20s and 30s in Florida. Wonder what the water temps are. lol
GFS model trend is for no snow tomorrow. No rain either; storm track shifting inland
If the clipper was south more it would of helped develop a coastal storm. Oh well. Adirondacks and northern new england might get some decent snows from it.
Timing also off for us happening after sunrise.
Here's latest NAM model for 11am. I think we go from snow to rain. Have to see the reality details overnight.
Because its so marginal and close, It shouldnt be all snow or much of it south of VT, even though 850s are below freezing to the coast around sunrise
Heres the 850 temps for same time frame 11am. Warm air flowing up counterclockwise with the storm (see the wind direction?)
Needed that clipper south more! Missed this from being another 4-6" event by like 150 miles!
For NYC probably all rain.. i might get 1-2" from it. Nei maybe 3"?

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service New York NY
933 AM EST Mon Dec 11 2017
Low pressure moves across the Great Lakes tonight into Tuesday
morning. The associated warm front approaches the area from the
south late tonight into Tuesday with increasing chances of
precipitation, followed by a strong trailing cold front Tuesday
afternoon.
Warm advection ahead of the main portion of the storm will make
this a mixed precip event. Rain is forecast for the city,
adjacent suburbs and coastal section, although some snow can mix
in at first. Across inland areas, snow or a snow/rain mix
changes over to rain as Temperatures rise during the morning
hours on Tuesday. Snow accumulations expected to be 1 or 2
inches for the northern suburbs, with 2 to 3 inches expected
further north across Orange County. Less than an inch is
expected anywhere else where snow manages to accumulate
