Because I have to be out of the house by 7:30 every morning, I'd rather have the daylight hours the way they are and "sacrifice" a possible extra 30 minutes in the evening. Nothing is more depressing than preparing for your day while it's completely dark outside. Anyway, we get 8:17 sunsets in the summer with civil twilight stretching to around 8:45, good enough for me. I found the extreme daylight hours to be a bit obnoxious when I was in Scotland, definitely not something I'd want to deal with on a daily basis, especially the darkness in winter.
Not really, we're actually pretty far west in the time zone.
Solar Noon is at 12:34 right now (Sunrise 6:50 AM, Sunset 6:17 PM) which isn't really that early.
You're only 5 degrees into the timezone, Ireland is 11 degrees into the timezone. Irrespective of this, some parts of Ireland have similar sunsets to you.
I don't really care that much about sunset/sunrise times tbh, it doesn't really matter to me whether it's dark or light outside. I do like a good change in daylight length though, it's rather lame here.

I don't really care in all honesty.
And seeing as how we're 2/3rds of the way between winter solstice and spring equinox it doesn't surprise me that much that sunset times are starting to even out at all latitudes.
You don't care because you don't live in a Northern location and thus aren't affected by the plunge into darkness during winter months.
Nah. I don't care because I simply don't care, lol. I don't care about it being daylight or night outside, I go outside regardless. Matter of fact, I would even say I'm more active at night.
