whoops they didn't die; glad I didn't go for a bike ride:

...A shower with strong wind gusts will affect central and western
Massachusetts...

At 302 PM EST...A shower with strong wind gusts was along a line
extending from near Guilford Center to near Whately to Granville, and
was moving east at 45 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Worcester, Springfield, Chicopee, Westfield, Leominster, Fitchburg,
Holyoke, Marlborough, Amherst, Shrewsbury, Northampton, Agawam, West
Springfield, Greenfield, Orange, Deerfield, Ludlow, Gardner, Hudson
and Westborough.

Go inside when the sky darkens. Winds may be strong enough to produce
minor damage, such as downed branches.

Wind is currently gusting at 61mph with sustained winds in the 40s. The max wind gust was 81 mph! Hurricane force winds. Many small trees are down, and a large section of a tree is blocking the road. My basketball hoop blew down and landed on my car. Luckily it missed the windshield, but now it's all scraped up and there's a big huge dent on the top. Smaller stocks and branches are everywhere. The local school district canceled all after school activities do to the wind.

I hadn't noticed till you mentioned it. Look at all the high wind and damage reports below! I'm seeing 50-70mph wind gust reports and lots of damage report (arrows). Tractor trailors blown over, trees uprooted, powerlines down, ect. Wow!

What a month for wind and I assume with this strong shot coming this weekend we got more...and colder.

Radar & Satellite loop last 4hrs. 11:15am-3:15pm. I think the bark was bigger than the bite. That line looks harmless. Light rains up and down.

Lake Effect snows in Michigan.

Lol wow, I am an idiot. I saw negative temps and nothing else, I didn't even notice they were in Celsius.

Still a big "WTF", I'm seeing shades of Feb 2015, I hope that isn't the outcome of the rest of this month.
