Impressive. Didn't realize it was near record setting, but I should have figured 80 mph winds don't occur very often at all. The wind just took down half of a pine tree in my back yard. There was also a small power outage. Ok lucky that my basketball hoop just dented and scraped my car and didn't do more damage.

Not 80 mph anymore, but still very windy with guys in the 50s mph. Surprisingly consistent, winds have been gusting over 40 mph since 10 am.

Many local school districts have been closed tomorrow due to wind. The town of Greece had a state of emergency declared and travel was prohibited. A train was derailed in Batavia, trucks were flipped over and 85,000 lost power. Many trees came down blocking roads and landing on cars. The max wind gust was 81 mph, the second highest on record and above the threshold for a hurricane.

A very windy day, though very sunny too. High Wednesday was 53F/12C in the city, 57F/14C over here. Much colder air coming

It was warm af in upper Manhattan today, like 60F. Tshirt was comfortable. Didn't feel too much wind though. Can't wait for next week's cold air.

Thunderstorms in the forecast the end of the week. Probably nothing severe, but maybe some heavy rain with frontal system.

Next week looks cool, with NWS forecasting 58F Sunday! We haven't had a high in the 50's since Feb 4...
