There's a nice thunderstorm going on right now with frequent lightning. From what I can see it's mostly cloud-cloud, but there's an occasional cloud-ground strike.

^^

And why all the storms in the Midwest. Check out the flow of moisture right out of the Gulf of Mexico, clashing with colder air coming from the northwest

Yeah, looks like you'll catch the tail end of it. Temps in the 70s in LA this morning, probably get some convective stuff too ahead of it, maybe?

Warm front lifting north in the Northeast, Cold front pushing East in central U.S.

Some Thunderstorm warnings embedded in that line. Heads up Kentucky. Clearing out in Chicago

Looks like this week will be warmer than normal in my corner of Georgia, but that'll change by Saturday, and next week will be more normal, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. I can live with that. It's perfect for my power bill. Lows in the mid-30s and lower get the heater going. Highs in the mid-70s and higher get the air conditioner going. Looks like the air conditioner will get going on Thursday and Friday, but after that, it'll take a break for at least a week.

Looks like it snowed in NH and Maine this morning

Darker greens and yellows in NJ so heavier rains coming soon into CT.

Note its warmer in Michigan than NJ. Seems to be the case a lot past 4 weeks??
