Nope. Nope nope nope nope. Would rather have that cold snap in December or January actually that's how it was this year, 1f was recorded sometime in December and then we had another cold snap that came close second week of January. Just like it should be. Hate the whole "winter in Maypril" thing

I know, Apple farmers in the mountains have been devastated by these late season freezes and early season warm ups. Last year really hurt them; too late for the warm up to be gone so only hope is to avoid freeze, we have gone freeze less in March before but I'm not counting on it.

If we get another sharp late season freeze the apple business in NC may close down, it's gotten that bad the past few years.

5 straight years of below average Aprils. This is shocking, considering that in general we have gotten a lot warmer. April has really been a bogey month for us, and hopefully this year that will change

Today we eclipsed a record high from 1930 when it reached 65 degrees at the UofC. Today ORD hit 69F. On the 25-26th of March in 1930 22.3" of snow fell on Chicago (MDW). Winter is defintely not over yet...

Talk about a reality check
Lol

Snowdrops are out in January every year. Crocuses flower in Feb and daffodils in Feb/Mar. Gorse flowers year round, and we've had Oregon grapes in flower since the start of January.

It's been very normal so far in terms of vegetation.

That's impressive, I thought NYC plants didn't really come alive until late March/April?

Long Ranger Paul P video:

" It seems like now you need to Throw out these cold analogs because they just keep steering you in the wrong direction. These temperatures seem to just achieve higher than what anything is showing you in front of your face. Its amazing. You got to put on paper and then add like another 3 degrees it seems like for everything ".
