Does this look like an above normal month???

Only 6 days is the reason for it. #NeverForgot

So? it's not like those days didn't happen lol. If there had been 6 way below average days and the rest of the month had been mild you would be talking about how the mild days hid the extreme cold.

Where I live it has rained one day in the last 10 days (5/25) and only half an inch fell.

Rain totals for the month of May and departures from average:

MIA: 2.69" (-2.40")
Key Biscayne: 1.25" (-3.77")
Miami Beach: 2.22" (-2.53")

MIA recorded a high of 98F on 5/28 (second hottest day ever and broke previous May record by 2F.
Yeah, I just looked at the precipitation records for May and it looks like it's been a dry month. Ft. Lauderdale Airport only has about 2.5" of rain for this month when the average is 4.7".

Another example why anecdotal evidence is horse**** although to be fair storms here tend to be scattered and isolated in nature, so there could be spots that were wetter than others. For what it's worth, everything looks extremely green around my neighborhood and there were puddles everywhere when I got there yesterday.

Btw, I saw Ft. Lauderdale Executive hit 100 F the other day insane. Though we hit upper 90s in late April in 2015 so it doesn't really surprise me much that this could happen in late May. If these dry westerlies happened in July or August, it could probably hit like 105 F here lol.

Still really brown and crunchy here. Definitely no puddles, I'll get some pics later.

It looked brown and crunchy around MIA yesterday when I arrived, and noticeably greener around my area of Broward County. Looking at the NWS forecast, it looks pretty promising for some decent rain here, today is the only day that has a chance of precip less than 40%.

I think tomorrow will be nice which means we could clear out by sunset tonight maybe? If sun comes out it will trigger storms so heads up later.

I drove through a VERY localized downpour this morning. Looked at radar and it was literally a spec in one spot. lol

Drove in and out of it within 30 seconds. Reminded me of Summer where it can just pour hard in a localized spot.
