Check out the wind gusts on Nantucket. 50mph+ with snow! #Blizzard. That thing is just 100 miles too far for NYC and CT to get the blizzard. Wow so close!

Finally...

Check out the dewpoints in North Adams was around 24°F overnight, then went to subzero in the morning bottoming out at -12°F. Oddly low relative humidity

National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : North Adams Harriman-and-West Airport

Southern Vermont and some areas nearby has very low dewpoints. Clash of dry air with moister storm air? Temperatures are a lot colder than previous snows of the year; even near Boston it hasn't gone above 20.

STORM WARNING, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 AM
EST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* HAZARD TYPES...PERIODS OF SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT, THEN CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW HAS
THE POTENTIAL TO FALL AT A MODERATE TO HEAVY RATE AT TIMES
TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL AFFECT TRAVEL LATE TONIGHT
