HUGE diurnal range today in Nice: 26.0/13.8°C (79/57°F). Wind reached 91 km/h (56 mph) too. Quite an eventful day for our standards.

Yeah, those temps alone are overwhelming. Tough to imagine that happening in a big, chaotic metropolis.

Though to be fair Australia has some serious ovens, especially in northern WA. Population density is a fraction of India's though. Btw it seems like they break heat records every year in Pakistan and western India lately.

I just honestly cannot remember the last day when it was fully sunny. Seems like one or two hour breaks in the clouds are the best we can hope for. I feel like a scouser now with all these clouds

Weird, today I had a small range, 13/8C. My biggest range was on April 29th, which was 17/0 C (64/32 F).

My mom's side of the family is from there, but they only lived there when it was less than half its current size. They say it never got above 43C or so back then...

Should drop to upper 80s, then quickly rebound back into the 110's once the sun is out. The question is, how high will it go in those places?

At least the past two days we've been in the low 60s as opposed to mid 50s, so I guess progress?
