So what this sez is, the Mid-Atlantic could flirt with 90°F during Memorial Day weekend?

JMA actually has it hot 192 hours out for me and NYC/NJ/Philly

GEM does not

Euro has it where a Low to the north west of me might mean severe weather?

Raleigh is running below average on 90 and 80 degree days so far this year. 0 90 degree days and only 17 80 degree days, 7 in April which is 1 below normal and 3 in march which is 1 above average and only 7 so far this may, may alone averages 18 80 degree days and if my forecast plays out we will get another 8 before the month ends. may averages 3 90 degree days. this is my best shot at getting those 90 degree days, forecast has backed off of the 90 degree days but we still have some shots.

Your favorite analog to use is crap, our latest first 90 degree day ever was JUNE 27 1983. Mean is May 11 for first.

In 1983 you were coming off a brutal period of some of the coldest harshest winters in history of the US. I'm guessing the cold ground caused such a delay in the first 90f day

Some strong storms in the southern part of the state and even a tornado warning below Lafayette right now.

Moderate rain here with occasional thunder.

December 1983 was the coldest month relative to average in most of the US for that year. Winter 1982-83 was mild, winter 1981-82 was substantially colder overall.

December of 83 was the coldest December on record here. I remember it. I was 11 at the time. I think the low was -25F on Christmas Eve.

Perhaps, but I believe the most 80F days we've had in April was in 1977, following the coldest January ever (indeed, the coldest single month ever).
