Outside right now in short sleeves. 15°F. Uh oh. You know whats happening? Im getting used to it and now Im gonna complain at how 30s feel. Ugh.

But a reminder how this area has a crap climate where teens as highs are rare in February.

This blast reminds me yet again how I would love and appreciate northern climates.

We're halfway through February - the coldest winter month - and not a single ice day yet. Quite the complete opposite from January.

What is the definition of an ice day?

Yes, same here.

I saw a guy outside the Burlington Mall yesterday wearing only shorts, and no socks!

What can I say, some Canadians folks are very cold hardy.

Yuck freezing rain is coming. Taking forever for the cold to leave, 12°F out. Barely warmer than yesterday afternoon but without the sun. Phone claims 20°F sunset, 40°F tomorrow at sunrise.

LIGHT SNOW THIS EVENING WILL QUICKLY TRANSITION TO SLEET/FREEZING
RAIN/RAIN AS WARM MID LEVEL AIR SURGES NORTHWARD AS SHORTWAVE
CONTINUES DIGGING TO OUR SOUTHWEST. THIS TRANSITION TO ICE/RAIN
SHOULD OCCUR BY MIDNIGHT OR SO ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND.
AS FOR SNOW ACCUMS...BASICALLY LOOKING AT ONE HALF TO 2
INCHES OF SNOW WITH SOME 3 INCH AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IN OUR WESTERN
ZONES. BASED ON THE EXTREME COLD OF THE PAST FEW DAYS...IT SHOULD
TAKE A BIT OF TIME TO GET EVEN THE COASTAL PLAIN ABOVE FREEZING.
THEREFORE...A FEW HOURS OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN APPEARS
REASONABLE EVEN IN THE BOSTON TO PROVIDENCE CORRIDOR. HAVE
EXTENDED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES TO THE SOUTH COAST THROUGH
MIDNIGHT...BEFORE PTYPE TRANSITIONS TO ALL RAIN. KEEP IN MIND THE
GROUND IS EXTREMELY COLD FROM THE PAST FEW DAYS...SO ROADWAYS MAY
STILL BE ICY FOR A BIT AFTER TEMPS HAVE RISEN ABOVE FREEZING.

FURTHER NORTHWEST ACROSS THE INTERIOR...PTYPE SHOULD ALSO TRANSITION
TO SLEET/FREEZING RAIN THIS EVENING...BUT A LONGER PERIOD OF
FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED. GUIDANCE IS UNCERTAIN ON HOW LONG IT WILL
TAKE TO FINALLY GET SURFACE TEMPS ABOVE FREEZING. SOME DATA
SUGGESTS THERE STILL COULD BE SOME POCKETS OF -FZRA IN PORTIONS OF
THE CT RIVER VALLEY THROUGH MID MORNING ON TUESDAY. NORMALLY...THE
MODELS ARE TOO FAST RUSHING THE LOW LEVEL COLD AIR OUT BUT WILL
HAVE TO SEE HOW THINGS PLAY OUT.
